The Detroit Pistons x J Dilla City Grid T-Shirt draws inspiration from Dan Charnas' Dilla Time book, which explains how Detroit's abstract city layout has parallels to J Dillas abstract creation of rhythm and beats. Laid over the city outline are two of Dilla's most important pieces of musical equipment, the Minimog Voyager Synthesizer and Akai MPC3000 MIDI.
